National Civics Bee - State Partner
Your Wyoming Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to host a nonpartisan civics competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Participating 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will flex their knowledge for a chance to win national recognition and scholarships! Finalists will be invited to Washington, DC to compete in the National Civics Bee national championship in the Fall of 2025.
Why Civics?
The National Civics Bee, a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's The Civic Trust, is an annual competition aimed at improving civics education and literacy among middle school students, their families, and communities. The National Civics Bee helps elevate civics as a national priority through a network of state and local chambers across the country. It is made possible by the generous support of The Daniels Fund, The Wilson Garling Foundation, and Citizen Travelers.
How to Enter
Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student residing in Wyoming, with an idea about using civics to improve their community, may submit their essay to participate in one local competition in their state. All essays must be submitted by Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.​

The top finalists from each local civics bee will be selected to compete in our State Civics Bee (date not ye​t determined). The winner of the State Civics Bee will move on to the National Civics Bee Championship in Washington DC, where they will have the chance to compete against champions from 27 other participating states.​​
