That’s the purpose of the Wyoming Chamber Policy Councils — where collaboration meets action to shape the state’s future of free enterprise.

Policy Councils are at the heart of the Wyoming Chamber’s mission. They give members a direct voice in shaping legislation and regulations that affect Wyoming businesses. Each council provides an opportunity for members to share their expertise, engage in open discussions with state leaders, and help craft policies that support job creation, innovation, and economic growth across the state.​
How to Get Involved
Wyoming Chamber members are welcome to join one or more Policy Councils. Members receive timely updates on key issues, invitations to council meetings, and opportunities to:

Offer insight to the Chamber’s Political Action Committee.

Tax Policy Council

The Tax Policy Council represents the interests of Wyoming’s business community on tax, fee, and regulatory matters that affect competitiveness and growth. This council provides expertise and feedback on proposals that impact business taxation and economic policy. Working closely with the Wyoming Department of Revenue, the Legislature, and the Governor’s Office, the council advocates for policies that promote a fair, predictable, and competitive tax environment.

Energy & Natural Resources Council

The Energy & Natural Resources Council brings together leaders from Wyoming’s core industries—energy, mining, and natural resources—to advocate for policies that strengthen the backbone of our state’s economy. The council engages with lawmakers, regulators, and federal partners to support responsible resource development, permitting reform, and innovation in extraction and renewable technologies. Its mission is to secure Wyoming’s position as a national leader in energy production and stewardship.​

Workforce & Education Council

The Workforce & Education Council serves as a bridge between business, education, and government to develop a strong and sustainable workforce pipeline for Wyoming’s future. The council provides strategic input on workforce training, apprenticeships, childcare access, and educational alignment with business needs. Through collaboration with the Department of Education, local school districts, and higher education institutions, the council helps craft policy solutions that keep Wyoming’s workforce skilled, adaptable, and ready for tomorrow’s opportunities.​

Infrastructure, Housing & Transportation Council

The council focuses on infrastructure investment, workforce housing, transportation networks, and community development needs that impact business expansion and talent retention. Working with WYDOT, municipalities, and state agencies, the council advocates for smart, long-term strategies that keep Wyoming connected, affordable, and open for business.​

Healthcare & Wellness Council

Working with the Wyoming Department of Health and private healthcare stakeholders, the council seeks to ensure that Wyoming’s workforce remains healthy and that healthcare systems remain sustainable and business-friendly.​

Partnering with the Wyoming Office of Tourism, local chambers, and industry leaders, the council promotes a vibrant and sustainable tourism economy that benefits every corner of the state.​

Military & Defense Council
