If you are reading this because you thought the title was going to pound on business, you just got cheated like the boyfriend in she just started liking cheating songs.  In fact, this is probably more reflective of SHES Not the Cheatin Kind.   I must confess we do live in interesting times.  In the middle of an election year there’s a lot of days Jose Quervo You are a Friend of Mine reflects the feeling of businesses caught in a Texas Tornado but friends the fact is that all the politics in the world aren’t enough to make you woman enough to take my man.  Business is resilient and it is more akin to the fireman than it is the depression of catching a falling star.

Our businesses respond and when the demands of society and politics collide, they adapt.  They may not go as far as hiring a wino to redecorate so they can take money to the bank, but they reorganize and realize the race is on for success, economic development and community.  Believe me there are many days business wonders whose cheating who and who don’t even care anymore but they can’t waste time worrying about an achy breaky heart they have to stay at it with resilient stick-to-itiveness that leaves suds in the bucket and the clothes still hanging on the line.  Yes it's true that there is some truth that business worries about wasted days and wasted nights but the tenacity of the American Business person rolls on knowing that no matter the environment they may not be as good as they once were but they’re as good once as they ever were.

Business doesn’t need your rocking chair, they need you to be here for the party.  Our businesses need our support for all that they do to make our community succeed.  It’s not whether you can tell she’s from Texas the way she’s two stepping round the room, it’s more about standing up for our neighbors, our community and our future.  Frankly life is too short to sweat egocentric politicians, news about the economy or social media blabbering.  We have got better things to do.  Business has always been about standing inside the fire and not obsessing over poor poor pitiful me.
