Senate Narrowly Passes “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, your Wyoming Chamber of Commerce, and business leaders across the country, are applauding the Senate’s passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1), landmark legislation aimed at delivering permanent tax reform for American businesses and workers.

Building on the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the legislation makes key tax provisions permanent, including the deduction for domestic R&D expenditures, 100% bonus depreciation for certain business investments, and an expanded business interest limitation. The goal: keep America competitive, drive investment, and put more money in the pockets of working Americans.

“With today’s vote, the Senate has taken decisive action to deliver the kind of permanent tax relief the American business community has been calling for,” said Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer at the U.S. Chamber. “These reforms will drive economic growth, sharpen America’s competitive edge, and increase prosperity in communities across the country.”

Your Wyoming Chamber echoes that message, noting the significance for businesses in Wyoming and rural communities.

“This isn’t just a legislative victory—it’s a win for workers, families, and business owners in every corner of the country,” said Bradley. “It’s time to turn this momentum into permanent growth.”
