Your Link to the Legislature

Writer: Wyoming Chamber TeamWyoming Chamber Team

We asked for your take on this year’s Wyoming legislative session. Based on your responses (seen above), business sentiment is notably low. A striking 64% of respondents feel very negatively about the session’s success, and only 9% rated it higher than a two out of five. We also dug deeper, asking how you felt about the number of active and inactive bills this year. The results? Only 10% of respondents were satisfied, while 50% felt there were simply too many bills in play.

With such a high volume of legislation, it’s challenging for lawmakers to give each issue the attention it deserves. That’s why it’s more important than ever to advocate fiercely for the bills that truly impact businesses—something your Wyoming Chamber of Commerce has been tirelessly working to do.

WY We Care: Despite concerns going into this year’s legislative session, it’s actually been quite good for business. Many of the bills we’ve advocated for have successfully passed through committee, while several harmful bills have been struck down.

Your Wyoming Chamber has been working on the front lines and behind the scenes to ensure the policies that matter most to your business move forward. We know many of our members don’t have the time to be in the session themselves—40% of respondents even said they haven’t been following it at all. But that’s why we’re here. Even if you can’t be in the room, we’re there fighting for you.

Follow our progress on our website, and we’ll keep you in the know.
