Wyoming Chamber of Commerce Joins National Effort to End Historic Government Shutdown

Last week, the Wyoming Chamber of Commerce joined a national coalition of chambers and business organizations from across the country in urging Congress to come together and reopen the federal government.

That call has been answered, and the government is finally back to work. With the conclusion of the longest shutdown in our nation’s history, federal agencies are resuming operations, national parks are reopening, and the country is beginning to get back on track. It will take time to return to full speed, but progress is underway.

WY It Matters: While shutdowns may happen in Washington, their impact is felt right here at home. Delayed services, stalled projects, and uncertainty ripple through Wyoming’s businesses and communities. Yet time and again, Wyoming’s business community shows what true resilience looks like. We keep building, keep innovating, and keep moving forward.

As federal operations restart, our message remains the same: stability and collaboration are the foundation of a strong economy. Wyoming’s entrepreneurs, employers, and workers are the backbone of growth, and we’ll continue to advocate for policies that allow business to do what it does best: drive opportunity, create jobs, and strengthen both our state and our nation.

Together, we’ll keep Wyoming moving forward, even in times of uncertainty. But we can’t do it without you. If you want to have a say in the decisions being made in our nation’s Capitol, join the Wyoming Chamber in our mission. Add your voice, your experience, and your perspective to the largest force for business in Wyoming.
